Late November to Late December:

Holiday Lights on the River

Bask in holiday splendor at this special outdoor event. Set up in Saluda Shoals Park, over 400 illuminated displays dazzle children and adults alike. Kids also enjoy wintery activities like crafts, hayrides, marshmallow roasts, and visits with Santa. 

 

January:

Restaurant Week Columbia
 
Dine at Columbia’s finest restaurants during this 11-day festival. Across the city, eateries of every kind are offering exclusive set menus and special promotions. Treat your loved ones to this once-a-year opportunity to enjoy gourmet food for less. 
 

March:

St. Pat’s in Five Points 
 
Columbia goes green every March. Held in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, this all-ages celebration features an impressive concert lineup, a parade, races, silent discos, kids activities, and Irish-themed merriment, such as Celtic dancing and bagpipers.   
 

April:

Artista Vista
 
Take a gallery crawl through The Vista, Columbia’s vibrant art district. For two days, galleries open their doors to show special exhibitions, paired with live music, free drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. This large-scale vernissage free for all to attend. 
 

May:

Rosewood Crawfish Festival

 

If you’re craving Cajun and Creole cuisine, Rosewood Crawfish Festival has you covered. Serving up Louisiana-grown crawfish all day, this event has amazing food, live entertainment, and activities for the whole family. Check it out at 2600 Rosewood Drive. 
 

June:

Columbia Shrimp and Grits Fest

 
Come for the fresh seafood—stay for the concerts and door prizes! At this annual festival, local restaurants compete for the title of “Columbia’s Best Shrimp & Grits,” awarded by a panel of experts, and guests get to vote for the "People's Choice" winner. 
 

October:

South Carolina State Fair
 
Let the good times roll at Columbia’s beloved state fair. Filled to the brim with carnival rides and games, this 12-day bonanza is held beside Williams-Brice Stadium, a 10-minute drive from us. Save room in your stomach for fried Oreos and cotton candy!
